211 Ways to Break into the Tech Industry – TechSverige Lists Entry-Level Jobs and Internships

TechSverige is launching Karriärstart—a digital search service that brings together entry-level jobs, internships, thesis projects, and trainee programs at member companies. There are currently 211 active listings on the service. Here, students, recent graduates, and others at the start of their careers can get a comprehensive overview of opportunities to enter the tech industry.

The tech industry offers a wide range of job roles and career paths. But for those looking for their first job or an internship, it can be difficult to know which companies offer opportunities and where they are located. Karriärstart provides a comprehensive overview and makes it easier to find relevant job postings.

We want to make it easier to discover opportunities in the tech industry

“We want to make it easier to discover the opportunities in the tech industry. Here, students and recent graduates can find both their first job and other ways to gain experience and build professional connections,” says Ana Andric, an economic policy expert at TechSverige.

A comprehensive overview that is kept up to date

The search service retrieves information directly from member companies’ websites and career pages. Visitors can search by company or job title and filter by location, type of opportunity, and application deadline. Applications are submitted directly to the respective companies. Job postings are updated automatically. New job postings are added, and those with expired application deadlines are removed. The selection therefore varies over time.

More Pathways from Education to the Workforce

"Career Start" is part of TechSverige’s efforts to strengthen the transition from education to the workforce. Together with Akavia, TechSverige has presented proposals to lower the barriers to entering one’s first skilled job. Through the “Open the Door to Tech Internships” initiative, the organization also encourages and supports more companies to offer LIA internships to students in IT programs at vocational colleges.

“It’s important—both for individuals and for companies’ long-term talent supply—that more people have the opportunity to apply their knowledge in the workplace. That’s why we’re working to create better conditions for companies to take on interns and hire recent graduates. With our search service, we’re also making it easier to find the opportunities that already exist,” says Ana Andric.
