Attract: Increase the number of female applicants for tech jobs

Ensure that advertising and other recruitment activities are genuinely inclusive

  • As an HR/recruitment manager , I have developed a library of ad templates with gender-neutral text and images, which managers can use when recruiting. In the images used, both genders should be given equally active roles, so that one gender does not give the impression of being subordinate.
  • As an HR/recruitment manager , when I design a job advertisement, I use our templates and examples and check the advertisement against our tone of voice or other guidelines. I will also ensure that the ad appears in media channels that capture the breadth of candidates regardless of gender.
  • As an HR/recruitment manager, when I use channels other than advertisements, such as recruitment through networks or recruitment agencies, I ensure that these channels capture the diversity of candidates regardless of gender.
