memorandum

IT&Telecom companies have responded to the consultation.

IT&Telekomföretagen has been given the opportunity to submit a consultation response to the ministry memorandum "Communication for our common security - responsibility and coordination" and stated the following.

The need for a future-proof mobile communications platform for emergency services is clear. AThis shall cover the needs of these actors in their critical activities while ensuring that the solution is socio-economically justifiable is a necessary condition.

However, both in the current proposal and in the previously proposed communication solution, the inquiry has based itself on a single possible option, thereby failing to carry out an adequate analysis of other options to meet the communication needs of the blue light authorities in the best and most efficient way possible.

IT&Telekomföretagen believes that the analysis and calculations on which the committee's proposals are based are therefore seriously deficient in key areas. Neither adequate technical alternatives to a separate blue light network, nor security solutions in these alternatives, have been sufficiently highlighted. Nor have the vulnerability and capacity of the proposed network, competitive neutrality, costs and implementation time.

IT&Telecom companies are therefore both questioning and critical of the fact that this has not been done properly and thoroughly.
