The Chemical Tax Inquiry presented its report on March 30, 2015 in the report Kemikalieskatt - Skatt på vissa konsumentvaror som innehåller kemikalier (SOU 2015:30). The report proposed two new excise taxes - one on certain electronics and one on flooring materials, wall coverings and roof coverings made of vinyl chloride polymers. The report was subsequently submitted for consultation, and a large number of comments were received.

In this memorandum, it is proposed that the committee's proposal for a law on tax on certain electronics be supplemented with a list instead of the measurement method referred to in the proposal, certain consequential amendments for this reason and a change to the definition of professional activity in the proposal for a law on tax on certain electronics and the proposal for a law on tax on floor covering materials, wall coverings and roof coverings made of vinyl chloride polymers.

Comments received on other parts of the report and any amendments made in response to them will be dealt with in a forthcoming legislative consultation.
