Massive criticism of mast proposals

IT&Telekomföretagen was very critical in its response to the consultation on Higher compensation for mast leases. The consultation proposal entailed a negative discrimination of the construction of electronic communications infrastructure. IT&Telekomföretagen considered, among other things, that it seemed that the investigation was not aware of the importance of electronic infrastructure and the government's goals in the digital agenda.

It now appears that several other referral bodies are also critical for additional reasons. Svea Court of Appeal, for example, believes that the compensation rules should instead be formulated in a uniform manner.

The Council is also critical, but for different reasons. It objects to the fact that there is no estimate of where the administrative costs might land. Nor does the report address other economic consequences or how many people might be affected by the proposal.

It seems very likely that the proposal will end up in the trash.
