Dispute notice against IT&Telecom companies

Seko has today (130610) given notice of industrial action from Wednesday, June 19 at 18.00 against IT&Telekomföretagen within Almega, agreement area telecom.

Seko has given notice of total work stoppages at 11 telecom companies in a large number of locations outside Stockholm.

- "We have offered Seko a settlement equivalent to that accepted by the other parties in the agreement area. It obviously doesn't work to have different conditions for employees with the same tasks, just because they happen to be members of different trade unions," says Stefan Lennström, agreement manager at Telekomavtalet IT&Telekomföretagen, in a comment.

- Seko also wants in principle to return to the outdated wage agreement structure with individual guarantees that we jointly agreed to leave already in 2010. We are convinced that the best wage agreement construction, for all parties, is based on salary being set in relation to how the employee has met the individually set goals," continues Stefan Lennström.

- Seko has a number of demands that together would increase the cost for the companies and limit the telecom companies' opportunities to conduct profitable and competitive operations," concludes Stefan Lennström.

Mediators from the National Mediation Office will now be called in to try to find a solution and thus avoid the conflict coming into force.
