The future of collective agreements - the work continues!
Against the background of an ever-growing global influence and the many technological advances that have been made and how it has fundamentally changed our work situation in terms of expectations, availability and flexibility, Almega, together with Akademikerna, continues to work with the collective agreements of the future and the borderless work.
As part of this, together with our counterparts, we have spent the autumn reviewing and analyzing research findings on working life on everything from long-term sick leave to occupational health care, to get to the bottom of what is perceived as particularly stressful in today's working climate. And of course, what opportunities the boundless work has to curb it.
In parallel with this, we have also toured and visited several companies around Sweden. Both those that have signed collective agreements and those that have chosen not to - all with the aim of investigating how employers and employees view collective agreements and their flexibility. At each workplace, we discuss with both club presidents and company managers as well as representatives from the HR department.
Issues discussed are how working life has changed since collective agreements were created almost 100 years ago to today in terms of office environments, work tasks, work and private life etc. What we seek to answer is how we can best integrate the needs of companies with those of employees so that both parties get the most out of each given situation in terms of what opportunities exist to balance work and private life.
Since the life puzzle is something that in principle everyone has reason to think about at some point, we at Almega place extra emphasis on flexibility and that decisions can be made locally between employees and managers.
