A new approach to reconciling the public sector with the market
Earlier this week, I participated in something unique when we at the Council for Welfare Technology together with Nacka municipality hosted a dialog and workshop on the municipality's procurement of welfare technology. The purpose was to try out a new form of procurement, and help Nacka municipality to "find the best solutions in welfare technology for the municipality's citizens". Together we created a new arena for the market and the public sector to meet.
Our member companies had the opportunity to directly influence which future digital services and products Nacka municipality should procure, and to find new partner constellations that make it possible to be considered as a supplier to the municipality. The format of the meeting - with room for dialog and workshop and with exciting inspirers on site - made did not make it all worse. Fantastic, I think!
Some of the participants' immediate reactions:
The meeting was an example of one of many opportunities for our member companies to be involved in developing and influencing the conditions for a world-class Swedish IT and telecom industry. If you and your company are interested in working more with these issues and creating similar - or completely different - activities, I hope you will contact me!
