Ulrika Lindstrand, Chairman, Swedish Engineers
The members of Sveriges Ingenjörer are Sweden's largest network of engineers with all the collective expertise that this entails. Sweden is in a serious situation, and we know that our members can contribute in many different ways in this crisis.
Who are you targeting with your initiative?
All engineers who feel they have a skill that can be used to support society. We also want to encourage companies to take responsibility and support their employees and their socially beneficial initiatives.
What do you want to achieve?
Engineers are often part of the solution to the pressures faced by society in times of crisis. Engineers who contribute to the critical functions of society are therefore essential to keep society functioning.
By spreading the call #vitecherupp, we encourage members to individually and by influencing their employers highlight good examples of how IT, digital services and other technical solutions can facilitate society, business and individuals during the ongoing pandemic.
What do you offer?
A channel to our 156,500 members and therefore also to their companies and businesses. If we can leverage our channels to members so that those who want to help find an opportunity to contribute, it can make a big difference in the dire situation we find ourselves in.
