Ann Molin, Project Manager, Hack the Crisis

Why have you taken this initiative?

Hack the Crisis inherits the government assignment within the framework of Hack for Sweden, which the government decided on Thursday, March 26, would go to DIGG, the agency for digital administration. Hack the Crisis is a global movement that started in Estonia in mid-March and is now spreading across the world. The goal is to find concrete digital solutions to the crisis the world is in due to Covid-19.

What do you want to achieve?

Concrete solutions in the following three areas: saving lives, saving society and saving business.

Who are you targeting with your initiative?

Everyone can contribute! The good forces of society need to come together and create the tools we need to counter the effects of the pandemic. We need mentors with expertise in different fields, partner organizations that can help with everything from participatory teams to digital tools or open data.

What do you offer in concrete terms?

An opportunity to join the fight against corona and participate in a 48-hour online hackathon April 3-6. Over 3000 hackers have already signed up and we have almost 100 partner organizations. Sign up at www.hackthecrisis.se.
