Frida with a focus on sustainability issues

In January this year, Frida Faxborn was recruited to IT&Telekomföretagen from the Ministry of Justice. Frida has several years of experience from the Government Offices and has, among other things, worked with the government's governance in the field of information security, police issues, issues related to the integration of new arrivals and a lot of negotiations at the EU level. At IT&Telekomföretagen, she is responsible for the Sustainability Council and issues related to the public market.

What are the most important issues for the Sustainability Council right now?

We have recently launched the report on sustainable supply chains. The report is important as it highlights the complexity of manufacturing a product, which can require tens of thousands of contracts between different parties. Ensuring that all stages of production are done in a desirable way can be very difficult and costly.

Going forward, the Sustainability Council will, among other things, work on issues related to the circular economy, both at national and EU level. We also need to follow the development of sustainability issues linked to the post-corona crisis. Sustainability issues will become even more important in the future given the rapid digital development brought about by the crisis, both from an economic perspective but also from an environmental point of view. In addition, the global climate goals are contributing to this with demands for an increased pace of change in society, and so is our industry.

What do I do as a member if I want to get involved?

IT&Telekomföretagen's council activities are run by our members and if you want to participate in the work of the Sustainability Council, you can contact me. As a member of the Council, you must have a strong desire to get involved and actively drive issues in the field of sustainability forward. It's particularly fun and important to do this on an industry-wide basis. It is very inspiring to work with a member council where we have just welcomed a number of new companies, large and small, and where the commitment is great.
