Visibility of members' work towards the SDGs

For the IT&Telecom Sustainability Council, working towards the global sustainability goals is very important. The Council wants to inspire more companies in the industry to focus on sustainability issues to contribute to the fulfillment of the global goals within the framework of Agenda 2030.

- "After the coronavirus crisis, we can expect an increased demand for growth both nationally and internationally, which will have an impact on the climate. The IT and telecom sector is an important industry and enabler for creating a more sustainable society and can contribute to solving the climate crisis through its innovative, digital solutions," said Magdalena Aspengren, Chair of the Sustainability Council.

The Council therefore wants to highlight the industry's contribution to the SDGs by highlighting all the good initiatives and ongoing work in this area.

- By highlighting examples of existing initiatives and solutions among our member companies, the intention and desire is that more companies can be inspired to take the initiative to make conscious efforts to contribute to the fulfillment of the SDGs, says Frida Faxborn, business policy expert responsible for sustainability issues at IT&Telecom companies.
