IDG and TechSverige list the most influential people in tech
idg.se: TECH50 - here are the most influential people in tech in 2022
- In a time of many opportunities, but also challenges linked to the digital transformation of our lives and society, we need clear leaders, heroes and innovators who show the way forward. In Sweden, we have many brave people who take great responsibility and who inspire. With the TECH50 list, we want to make these people a little more visible," says Åsa Zetterberg, Director of TechSverige and chair of the jury.
This is the first time Tech50 has been compiled, but the idea is that it will become an annual list that consolidates Sweden as a technology nation. Six people will be highlighted as finalists at TechAwards Sweden, the big industry party organized by IDG and TechSverige at Sergel Hub on March 22. A winner will also be announced then.
- We have two difficult pandemic years behind us, which have been challenging for everyone, but where all of us working in tech have been able to add great value. I think it has become clear to more and more people to what extent tech contributes and that is worth celebrating. At the same time, it feels great that the restrictions are being lifted and that everything indicates that we will actually be able to meet in person. We notice that there is a great desire to meet live, mingle and it will be great fun, says Åsa Zetterberg.
The TechAwards celebrate heroes, innovators and role models in tech. In addition to the 'Tech 50', the finalists and winners of the Sustainability of the Year, Skills of the Year, Security of the Year, Most Valuable Use of Tech and Tech Company of the Year categories will be presented.
The program, which starts at 13.00, offers equal parts knowledge, inspiration and festive award ceremonies and ends with festive mingling.
- IDG is driven by the belief that technology should be used to make the world a better place, and the Tech Awards is a perfect opportunity to recognize the people and companies in the industry that do just that. We hope to add extra energy and become the annual, recurring and obvious industry party for everyone in tech," says Joakim Allwin, Managing Director at IDG.
