8% of unicorns are found in the EU
According to CB Insights research, 8% of the world's unicorns are located in the EU.
The latest analysis from October 2022 shows that more than half of unicorns (54%) are found in the United States. China comes second with just over 14% while India is third with almost 6%.
According to CB Insights, there are over 1200 unicorns, that is, companies that began as a startup and have since been valued at more than a billion dollars. Among the best-known names are Facebook, Airbnb and Google.
