"Important to avoid unnecessary lockdowns"
- But it is just as important to be able to listen to the counterparties and understand the background to their wishes," says TechSverige's head of negotiations Einar Humlin and continues:
- "For our part, there are five different counterparties in two of the service sector's largest contract areas. It is not entirely uncomplicated but of course very interesting to work with negotiations in the tech sector.
What is your feeling so far?
- We have a good climate of discussion and dialog, even though we disagree on many issues. It is important to avoid unnecessary deadlocks and always be able to reason with the other party. We have great respect for the trade unions, while at the same time being clear about what we think is best for our member companies.
What challenges do you see ahead?
- We will soon enter a phase in which many issues will be sorted out and finally stitched together in contractual solutions, which is the most difficult part of the entire negotiation. Now is not the time to increase costs for our member companies. This will be the most difficult challenge as trade unions are under pressure from their members on several tough negotiating issues, including high inflation.
