The conference brought together a total of 20 000 people who listened to lectures and discussions via hubs around the country. TechSweden was the hub for the event with good support from The Internet Foundation in Stockholm and brought together some forty participants from tech industry, other business and the public sector.

Among the participants was Emma Sperrle, Sustainability Manager at Tre Sverige:

- The opportunity to network and discuss both the conference and other topics is extremely valuable. A Sustainable Tomorrow is a good opportunity to meet so that we can move forward together in the challenges we face. A very rewarding and important day.

With this year's theme "disruption", the focus was on discussing the need for new ways of working, business models, collaborations and policies to accelerate work towards the global goals.

- A Sustainable Tomorrow encourages and challenges us all to act now for a more sustainable society, says Charlotta Flodin, Sustainability and Quality Manager at The Swedish Internet Foundation.

The program was chaired by Catarina Rolfsdotter-Jansson, Content Manager at A Sustainable Tomorrow. Speakers included Professor Johan Rockström, Director of the Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research, who presented new research showing the need for disruptive and exponential solutions to reduce climate emissions. Human rights activist and lawyer Linnéa Claeson, spoke about the importance of standing up for your fellow human beings and having courage. Noura Berrouba, President of LSU - Swedish Youth Organizations, summarized and analyzed the content of the broadcast and underlined that young people play an important role in putting sustainability and climate issues on the agenda and that their engagement needs to be better harnessed. Fredrik Reinfeldt attended the conference for the eighth year and gave a global analysis, highlighting the UN's climate work and the Global Goals as a successful global effort but pointing to the need for disruptive solutions that can be scaled up on a global level.

TechSverige's business policy expert Frida Faxborn was also present and emphasized the link between tech and sustainability as crucial to achieving the climate transition:

- The opportunities and role of digitalization through its technology and innovations are absolutely fundamental for the whole of society and all sectors to change and become more energy efficient and climate-smart by reducing emissions. It is not the only solution for our sustainable development, but it is a very important tool to use in the transition.

TechSverige is working with its member companies to spread this knowledge. Frida Faxborn emphasizes that politics has an important role to play:

- Politicians have a responsibility to show leadership that focuses on digital solutions as keys to reducing climate impact, which TechSverige recently highlighted in our input to the government's climate policy action plan, which will be presented in November.
