What do you want to know about EU AI rules?

Since 2019, TechSverige has an industry code for AI. After several rounds and a few occasions when the EU's AI regulation "has now been decided", it is actually clear what applies. At least in terms of time.

The regulation will enter into force in July and some AI use will be banned in January 2025. Further steps will follow until 2030.

For those developing new AI solutions, it is also important to remember that systems and models used for research, or under development and not yet deployed, are not covered by the Regulation.

The questions surrounding the AI regulation are many. In its report Med AI som medel (With AI as a tool), TechSverige has pointed out the need for guidelines and support from the authority that will be responsible for the AI Regulation. In the meantime, it is very good that the Confederation of Swedish Enterprise is early to spread knowledge about the AI Regulation.

The Confederation of Swedish Enterprise's AI expert, Carolina Brånby, introduces the AI Regulation in a recorded seminar from June 11.

Two reports from TechSverige shed light on the development of AI in Sweden and identify necessary measures to strengthen the country's competitiveness. The reports present a strategic way forward to future-proof Sweden's position in AI.
