Welcome Veronica Johansson
Veronica Johansson is one of the labor lawyers who further strengthens TechSverige's offer for increased member benefit. Veronica comes from the employers' organization Fremia, where she has worked as a litigator and negotiator.
Can you tell us about yourself and your background?
- I have a law degree from Uppsala University and before Fremia I worked with labor law advice to both German and English speaking companies at the German-Swedish Chamber of Commerce. Before my law studies, I lived for a long time in Germany, where I, among other things, took a vocational training as a Certified Foreign Language Correspondent and did my first years of professional life in the industry that TechSverige organizes.
How do you see your experience in labor law and procedural law, both nationally and internationally, contributing to your work in your new role?
- I have worked with labor law advice for many years, for both global and national employers. As a result, I have had the opportunity to acquire in-depth knowledge of how Swedish labor law differs and know what is particularly important to highlight for foreign employers who are expanding into the Swedish market. As a litigator, I also have an understanding of the issues an employer needs to consider in order to avoid disputes and can also support employers in the event of a dispute in court. With experience from the negotiating table, I can thus see the whole chain; everything from advice, over dispute but also contract negotiations to a possible dispute in court.
What attracted you to the position?
- Both TechSverige and the industry it organizes are at a very exciting stage. When I last worked in the industry, platform solutions for commerce and services were making their way into everyday life. Now, the industry is facing a new phase of development that will have an increasing impact on society. And many of the companies that were in the early days are giants today. So I'm very much looking forward to reconnecting with the industry.
What do you prefer to do when you are not working?
- Exercise and health have always had a central position in my life. I am an enthusiastic supporter of what is known as the 5 AM Club and have a background as a snowboard instructor and group exercise instructor with both national and international experience. In addition, I am a classically trained amateur soprano with a love of Bellini, Verdi and Puccini. And when I plop down on the couch at home, the knitting comes out.
