Debate: Government penalizes investment in digital security

The draft bill for the new Cybersecurity Act proposes that companies in the telecom sector, as the only one of 18 designated sectors, should finance the responsible authority for their work in exercising supervision based on the new law. Instead of strengthening cybersecurity, the government risks undermining the investments that are crucial for society as a whole in the face of increasing international competition.
