Why is Addera tech an important campaign?
The tech sector is of great importance to the Swedish economy and prosperity. It is an industry that creates jobs and growth, combined with extensive trade with the rest of the world. But the sector's continued development is currently hampered by a major skills shortage, which means that many Swedish tech companies have to turn down business and assignments. This in turn has consequences for other important businesses and, in the long term, affects the country's entire economy.
With the campaign Addera tech, we at TechSverige, together with our member companies, want to show the enormous opportunities of the industry, both for society but also for individuals who we know are out there. Companies in the tech industry, from north to south, can offer exciting jobs and career opportunities with great flexibility and good working conditions. What many people may not know is that you don't need a long technical education to work in tech. There are several ways to make a career in the industry, and with this campaign we want to highlight different paths to tech jobs by making it easy for individuals to take the step into the tech industry.
