Debate on SvD Opinion about IT companies' own responsibility for competence
Since Anne-Marie Fransson together with Stockholm politicians Ulla Hamilton and Chris Heister published a opinion piece on the IT skills shortage On Svenska Dagbladet's Opinion site, there has been an exchange of words between Jan Hellgren, product manager at the member company Cornerstone, and Anne-Marie Fransson. Hellgren says in his post that IT companies do not sufficiently consider specialist skills as a strategic competitive tool. However, in her closing remarks, Anne-Marie Fransson says that while there is a dilemma in prioritizing training efforts in relation to day-to-day operations, companies definitely take long-term skills development very seriously.
