E-skills manifesto now in Swedish
The final conference of the European e-Skills Week this spring saw the launch of the "E-skills Manifesto", a document in which leading figures in the European IT industry and politics put together their thoughts on how Europe should solve its long-term IT skills needs. This document, which contains a number of concrete proposals (e.g. action in schools, collaboration with academia and promotion of standards for certification) is now available in Swedish.
The manifesto's purpose is best captured by Don Tapscott, one of the foremost authorities on innovation and the societal impact of new technologies, who writes in his back cover text:
"The digital skills gap is a huge problem. Today's labor markets are global and, due to connected business models, knowledge workers face real-time competition. Workers and managers need to learn, adapt and perform like never before."
