Tele2 - winner of the Womentor Award 2012
Tele2 has been announced as the winner of the newly established Womentor Prize 2012 in connection with Womentor Day.
The jury's motivation:
Tele2 as a company - with a personal commitment from CEO Thomas Ekman - runs a consistent and long-term work for more women in leading positions within the company for increased competitiveness and clear business benefits. This is reflected not least in a 55%/45% distribution of women and men in its Swedish management team today. And also in the company's ability to have appointed women as leaders in the management team in traditionally heavily male-dominated positions such as IT manager, finance manager and technical manager.
- This is a direct result of our determined efforts to be a modern company that reflects our broad target group. For us, it is obvious that we have many female managers. It creates dynamic groups, a better working climate and higher profitability," says Thomas Ekman, CEO, Tele2 Sweden.
