Meeting of the Public Market Council
At the end of January, the Public Market Council held its first meeting of the year. The Council brings together member companies interested in public market issues.
At the meeting, Stefan Holm, Industry Policy Expert at Almega, presented the main ideas behind the procurement day that Almega will organize in April.
There was also discussion of the public inquiries that are underway. It is about collective agreement requirements in procurement requests, about appeals, and about the new authority that will take over procurement support from the Swedish Competition Authority on September 1.
The meeting also discussed issues relating to so-called "one-crown tenders" and reviews and how the industry should deal with this.
The meeting was attended by Eva-Lotta Löwstedt-Lundell, chairman of the Swedish Association of Public Purchasers, who spoke about the benefits of and need for more frequent dialog, and that procurement is based on trust rather than distrust. It was decided to deepen the dialog with SOI (Swedish Public Purchasers) during the spring.
Camilla Ekstedt, Head of Sales, Sopria Steria, was elected as the new Chair of the Council.
