New award to celebrate Swedish pioneers in AI

This fall, the AI Swede of the Year award will be presented for the first time. This award goes to a person who has contributed to the development and visibility of AI. Behind the award is the industry organization IT&Telekomföretagen together with partner Teknikföretagen.

- "AI is a catalyst for innovation and development that strengthens Sweden's competitiveness and welfare. With this award, we want to pay tribute to role models who lead the way and who, with courage and knowledge, drive the development and visibility of AI," says Åsa ZetterbergDirector, IT&Telecom companies.

- AI is a central part of the digital transformation of industry. For Teknikföretagen, it is important to highlight role models who inspire and enthuse, to raise awareness of the change we are facing, says Maria Rosendahl, Head of Unit Skills Supply & Digitalization, Teknikföretagen.

Nominations for the award are accepted at aretsaisvensk.se. The winner is then selected by a heavy jury consisting of experts in the digitalizationand will be presented at AI SUMMIT 2020 on November 11. More info at aretsaisvensk.se
