The Internet Foundation - resilience and public education

The Swedish Internet Foundation is responsible for a central part of the Swedish internet infrastructure as we ensure the availability of all .se and .nu addresses. In addition to ensuring high operational stability and availability, we also work systematically and proactively to guarantee a secure internet with high information protection. Skolfederation has become an important part of the digitization of the Swedish school and Sambi is developing the health and care sector. To achieve the highest quality, we work with a clear internal improvement and troubleshooting process based on ITIL and agile methods, the SIQ model (Institute for Quality Development) and an external certification according to ISO 27001 (information security management system).

Education for both younger and older people is a major part of the Internet Foundation's promotional work to ensure that everyone in Sweden wants, dares and can use the Internet. Examples of our initiatives are Digital lessons, Internet knowledge and DigidelCenter. At The Swedish Internet Foundation's open start-up and meeting place Goto 10, events and meetings on internet-related issues are organized to lower the thresholds for those who want to develop their idea, learn more or share their knowledge. At our annual Internet Days conference, we raise important issues on digitalization that contribute to the training of many professionals. Gender equality, diversity and inclusion are important starting points in our work.
