Markus Lingman is AI Swede of the Year 2020
Today, the winner of the AI Swede of the Year 2020 was announced. An award presented by IT&Telekomföretagen together with its partner Teknikföretagen and goes to the person who has contributed most to the development and visibility of Swedish AI. This year's winner is Markus Lingman, chief physician and development strategist in Region Halland.
Markus is being rewarded for his successful work in making knowledge available about the use of AI technology in healthcare. With a focus on the individual, the jury believes that he has combined the needs of healthcare with the possibilities of technology. A work that has the potential to redraw how care is practiced and implemented both in Sweden and globally.

This year's winner, Markus Lingman, is a role model and someone who shows the way towards what is possible. What he has done and is doing to develop healthcare and contribute to improved health is worthy of widespread recognition," says Åsa Zetterberg, Director of IT&Telecom and chair of the jury.

In his work with information-driven care in Region Halland, he has shown how the ability to collaborate is the key to a well-functioning AI ecosystem to achieve societal and individual benefits.
