Maria Norberg in the Vitecherupp podcast

"The development of Womentor companies is significant - proof that the initiative is making a difference"

Vitecherupp is IT&Telekomföretagen's new podcast about how the tech sector can contribute to a sustainable society that takes advantage of the opportunities of digitization. Guest in the third episode is Maria Norberg, CEO, Teknikkvinnor, who is also involved in IT&Telekomföretagen's change and leadership program Womentor.

The episode is released on International Women's Day, March 8th, an important day when we take the opportunity to highlight and talk about gender equality in the tech sector. It's ONE day of the year in the calendar but a work in progress that needs to be done 365 days a year to achieve a gender equal society and business.

IT&Telecom companies are conducting active and long-term work to improve gender equality in the industry. This is important, not least so that we do not lose out on skills and talent that are a key part of the success of member companies and the industry. Our goal is to achieve a gender balance, where no gender is less than 40%, in Womentor companies by 2025 and for the entire tech industry by 2030. Similarly, the proportion of female managers should be at least 40% by 2030.

In today's episode with Maria Norberg, we talk about the positive development at the Womentor companies where gender equality remains high and about what needs to be done in the future to accelerate the work towards a gender equal tech industry.
