Ulrica Broo on Advania's Womentor meeting

As one of the Womentor program's host companies in 2021, Advania is holding a meeting with the theme Digital Leadership on November 10-11. Ulrica Broo, Head of Consulting at Advania, is a mentor in the program and shares her experiences.

- For my own part, it has been an honor and a lot of fun to be a mentor to a girl/colleague in the industry in this way. The mentee-mentor match was great. The primary responsibility lies with the mentee to pursue her agenda with the mentor, but it is a give and take, it is important to invest time in getting to know each other so we have had regular meetings and conversations throughout the year, says Ulrica Broo and continues:

- For Advania, it is important to be involved in demonstrating that inclusion and equality are important issues. Advania works continuously to have a culture that is welcoming and inclusive. We are working to attract more girls to the company and of course develop and retain the ones we have. The goal is to continue to be an attractive employer.

- Due to the pandemic, this is the first time that we in Womentor meet face to face during the theme meeting and of course it feels extra fun. Although all the digital meetings during the year have worked well, it is a shame that we have not been able to meet more earlier. I would have liked to meet the other mentors more and have an exchange of experiences there as well.

Can you tell us a little about your and Helena Nordin's program item "A sustainable and competitive Advania with high employee satisfaction" on your theme day?

- Gender equality and inclusion is one of Advania's most important sustainability issues and on the theme day we will tell you a little more about the entire sustainability strategy. Among other things, we will talk about how Advania integrates sustainability into its business offerings.

- We will also tell you about AdWoMan, which is our internal girls' network, a platform for networking and developing their skills. From the network, several initiatives have been started such as Cross Mondays, which is a digital forum where girls in the company talk about their skills, assignments and services in their business areas. Everything to get to know each other even more at Advania. In this way, we make different roles visible and how important everyone is to the company's success.

Anna Kowalska Lindberg from Anima Ledarskap will then talk about the importance of inclusive leadership and the leadership training she has developed for all managers at Advania. Can you tell us a little about it?

- It is a privilege to be part of that educational journey and learn how we can create an even more inclusive culture together, understand even better how we express ourselves and treat each other in everyday life, find even more points of contact for more effective collaboration internally. These are incredibly important issues, we are all each other's work environment.
