Accenture - New technologies, innovation and ecosystem partnerships for a sustainable future

Collaboration and innovation to reshape the future of industry
To accelerate the work towards a fossil-free future based on green digital technology, Accenture, together with a number of other companies in the IT and telecom industry, has signed The European Green Digital Coalition - a Declaration to support the Green and Digital Transformation of the EU and in Sweden Accenture is a member of the non-profit association Digitaliseringskonsulterna, which aims to accelerate the industry's strategic work for a smart and fossil-free society. Accenture is also a proud partner of the Exponential Roadmap Initiative's 1.5°C Business Playbook.
One example of how Accenture is driving collaboration and innovation to transform industries is the Nordic Innovation program, where Accenture, together with the Nordic Council of Ministers and Sitra, is developing pilots in collaboration with the Nordic manufacturing industry and the ecosystem around it. The aim of the program is to initiate the transition to a circular economy through innovation and growth.

AI for mental well-being
Accenture in Sweden is responsible for several different programs to drive innovation around health and mental well-being. One example is the HumAInity Open Innovation Challenge. To identify and support start-ups working to improve mental health in the Nordic region, Accenture runs the HumAInity Open Innovation Challenge together with SingularityU Nordic, H&M, Futuristas, Vinnova and Save the Children.
By addressing the complex relationship between humans and technology - and more specifically between mental wellbeing and artificial intelligence - the initiative is a starting point for change-making with a human-centered approach to technology.

Mobile data to slow the spread of COVID-19
Accenture and Telia redefined Telia's Crowd Insights Platform early in the coronavirus pandemic to help authorities reduce the spread of COVID-19 and support decision-making. To reduce the spread of the coronavirus, Swedish authorities needed to understand how the restrictions imposed affected the population's behavior and movement patterns.
Telia's existing service, Crowd Insights - partly developed by Accenture - provided the Public Health Agency with important insights as it analyzed, anonymized and aggregated mobile network data, thus generating significant insights to slow down the spread of the virus, as well as promote decision-making based on statistics and accurate data points.

A tech industry for all
Accenture in Sweden is committed to being a place where everyone feels welcome and empowered to grow and innovate, where the company encourages each person by enabling them to develop their unique talents. Ensuring an inclusive environment for Accenture employees - including LGBTI and all other sexual orientations, gender identities and expressions - is a key component of the company's belief that equality drives innovation.
One example of how Accenture is ensuring an inclusive workplace for all, regardless of sexual orientation or identity, is its partnership with Out In Tech, which works to ensure a tech industry where LGBTI employees have both full agency and representation at all levels.
Since March 2017 when Accenture announced its global goal to achieve a gender-balanced workforce by 2025, the company has gone from 37.6% to 52.2% female new hires, and continues to focus on driving towards becoming a workplace with equal representation at all levels.
