First meeting of the Strategic Council

The Strategic Council of IT&Telecom companies held its first meeting. Among the topics discussed were the road to the 2022 elections and the emerging government crisis following the no-confidence vote.

- It was a good first meeting with creative input and good discussion. We looked back and drew lessons from the 2018 elections and the emerging government formation process. We discussed current issues for IT&Telecom companies and which ones should be prioritized for the 2022 elections," says Council Chair Christina Ramm-Ericson, Head of Industrial Policy at IT&Telecom companies.

The ambition is to be advisory from an operational perspective and be able to prioritize and shape the association's industrial policy advocacy work together with the members and create the best possible conditions for a competitive tech industry in Sweden.

- In 2021, it is about getting a better picture of how the ongoing spread of the Coronavirus continues to affect the industry.In the latter part of 2021 and 2022, we will focus on input to the I T&Telecom companies' election manifesto," says Christina Ramm-Ericson.
