Changers Tech shows the way to professional life
A new cohort of students has graduated after completing the Changers Tech programming course at the Changers Hub innovation center. Through a partnership with IT&Telecom companies, participants have been exposed to the industry and given the opportunity to expand their network and build relationships that could lead to future job opportunities.
- I don't even know why I thought so long about applying for the course. If you are interested in tech and want to learn something new and network, it is well worth it," says Alan Arif.
Even before joining Changers Tech, Alan Arif had an idea for an app he wanted to develop.
- I wanted to learn more about how it works and how companies operate. Apart from everything you learn, the best thing about the course was all the people I got to know. I would definitely recommend others to apply, 100 percent.
Changers Tech expands network
Alan Arif's classmate Leonella Bosch applied to Changers Tech when she wasn't sure what she wanted to do after high school.
- It was a great opportunity to learn something new. Tech was something I had no idea about. I thought it was very vague, but I felt that I wanted to learn more about it. I didn't have an excuse anymore not to familiarize myself with it.
Now that the course is over, Leonella Bosch plans to apply to various university of applied sciences programs for development in areas such as front-end (what the user sees in their browser and the interface of the website that the user interacts with).
- It's hard to pick a highlight of the course because everything has been great - the people, the teachers, the coaches and the lecturers! But what inspired me the most was when we got to listen to Microsoft's CEO Helene Barnekow and Viktor Fredell of Pop House Entertainment, which owns Space Digital Culture.
All course participants, from having felt great uncertainty before the start of the course, can imagine working with tech and one of the participants has already been employed at Handelsbanken. Only one of the students dropped out of the course, which had an equal number of female and male participants.
