"Has the government forgotten digitization? Both policy and minister are missing"
Ulf Kristersson's government declaration did not mention the importance of digitalization for Sweden. Nor does the new government have an explicit minister for digitalization. Where is the government's tech and digitalization policy? Åsa Zetterberg and Per Wallentin, chairman of TechSverige, ask themselves this question.
Sweden has a new government and a new term of office is now beginning at a time of great challenges for Sweden and the world. At this stage, it is more important than ever that the government has its sights set on the future and enables sustainable and strong digital development. If we are to manage competitiveness, security, jobs and welfare and at the same time transition to a more sustainable society, Sweden needs a much more ambitious and coherent tech and digitalization policy. Unfortunately, we do not see that the Prime Minister's government statement signals this.
