"It is grateful with numbers"
- The funny thing is that there is so much happening on a broad front today, we are not alone in looking at these kinds of tools. It's such new knowledge that everyone is pulling in slightly different directions and pushing forward, but I think it's only positive. We trigger and support each other to do things better," says Karin Hurtig.
She feels that there is a very positive attitude among architects towards collaboration and joint ventures.
- There are various networks where many are involved and offer their solutions. In purely business terms, there is competition, but I think it is good competition that encourages us to drive development. We have many global sustainability goals and many of them fall under community building, so we can achieve quite a lot by simplifying, clarifying and holding discussions so that knowledge is broader for everyone. When I saw TechSweden's sustainability report, I also became curious about how other industries work and how we can learn from them, think outside the box to find new ways.
Karin Hurtig sees digitalization as raising awareness of sustainability issues and making it easier for individuals to understand them, but at the same time calls numbers "stupid".
- We are grateful for figures, we are happy to accept anything that is a figure, but you must always have the skills to interpret them. It is extremely valuable to get quick figures, but it is when you can discuss them that they become extremely valuable. With the combination of digitization, experience and knowledge, you can get very far.
