TechSverige withdraws from current collaboration with Almega

The Board of TechSverige has decided to terminate the ownership and cooperation agreement with Almega. The decision means that the organization will be able to act in a more independent way and free up resources to focus entirely on the development of the industry and the needs of tech companies.

The tech industry is expanding and has established itself as Sweden's new basic industry, contributing around SEK 300 billion annually to Sweden's GDP. Tech companies' solutions are also a prerequisite for digitization and innovation in other industries and for society at large.

The rapid growth and pace of change place new demands on the industry and TechSverige as an organization. To drive future issues and be an even more relevant industry and employer organization, TechSverige needs to be more independent.

- The cooperation with Almega has been good, but the industry is developing rapidly and we need to keep up with this development. An independent TechSverige can offer existing and new member companies an organization that is entirely focused on the development and needs of the tech sector," says Per Wallentin, Chairman of the Board of TechSverige.

The current agreement with Almega is valid until the end of 2024/2025. On 1 January 2025, TechSverige will be an independent organization but still within the service sector and the Confederation of Swedish Enterprise.

- In the meantime, we will continue to build on the competent activities that TechSverige already carries out and develop a sharp and sector-specific employer service. We will meet the needs of both large and small and medium-sized companies in the industry, in terms of employer services, collective agreements, negotiations, legal advice and other support. We will do this in close dialog with member companies as well as our trade unions and other key stakeholders," concludes Wallentin.
