DEBATE: Swedish welfare deserves cutting-edge digital solutions

Sweden faces major societal challenges that affect development and threaten a sustainable transition. Whatever crises lie ahead, a well-functioning society is a prerequisite for a stronger and more robust Sweden.

To meet these challenges, the public sector must work together with the private sector to create innovations based on the needs of today and tomorrow. Swedish welfare deserves digital solutions at the forefront.

The business sector is driving important innovations for the climate, and is committed to ambitious plans for net zero emissions and sustainability targets. But if Sweden is to meet the challenges of today and tomorrow, regions and municipalities must also do more and differently. Innovation needs to become a natural part of public business.
