Welcome Emilia "Millan" Ryd

We are happy to welcome Millan to TechSverige! With a recent law degree and a keen interest in labor law, she is the latest addition to the TechSverige team. Here you can get to know her a little better:

Hello Millan! Who are you?

- I am 24 years old, a recent law graduate and the newest member of the team here at TechSverige. During my legal education, I have focused especially on labor law, both through elective courses and internships. It feels great to start my professional life here!

How did your interest in labor law start?

- It started quite early, thanks in large part to a family member who works in the field of occupational health and safety, which is an important part of labor law. I wrote my master's thesis on privacy protection in background checks involving personal data on criminal offenses. It is an area I find both important and exciting.

What attracted you to TechSverige and what are you looking forward to in your new role?

- I think IT, tech and telecom is a super exciting industry, as it is constantly evolving. What also attracted me was the combination of law, technology and social development. There is a lot going on, both legally and politically, which makes the job lively. I'm looking forward to learning a lot, contributing new perspectives and, most importantly, being part of a knowledgeable and committed team.

If you could choose one superpower to have in your job as a lawyer, what would it be?

- I would love to have a super memory with all the laws, preparatory works, court cases and EU directives stored in my head. It would be both practical and efficient to be able to retrieve the right information in a second!
