“Reform fails to reach young people with higher education”
Charlotte Tarschys and Christina Ramm-Ericson, chief economists at the trade unions Akavia and TechSverige, respectively, write in Svenska Dagbladet that the government’s reform—which reduces employer contributions for young people—fails to benefit those who have invested in education.
Akavia and TechSverige recently released a joint report calculating the cost of extending the reduced employer contributions to also apply to the first year after graduation. The report shows that the cost would be lower compared to the government’s existing reform.
