TechSweden's manifesto for tech-proofing Sweden

In September, Sweden will hold elections. The election is about how we seize Sweden's opportunities and meet the challenges of our time. TechSverige represents Sweden's tech companies – companies that develop and use digital technology, software, digital infrastructure, and data-driven solutions that create value throughout society.

This is our manifesto – an agenda with reform proposals to make Sweden tech-secure and harness the potential of technology.

Tech companies, their employees, and the digital infrastructure they build and operate are crucial to Sweden's future. In a time of geopolitical uncertainty, technology has become a strategic asset for both security and competitiveness.

It's time to make Sweden tech-safe.

Four reforms to make Sweden tech-secure

Sweden has a lot to build on: high levels of knowledge, trust, and strong innovation. But this lead won't last on its own—it needs political leadership and long-term rules. Technology is a tool for solving problems, simplifying people's everyday lives, and strengthening society's functions. That is why TechSverige is proposing four reforms to make Sweden tech-secure:

The digital welfare state –a skills boost where everyone has the opportunity to develop their digital skills throughout their lives.

Techlinjen– reforms that strengthen competitiveness, growth, and jobs throughout the country.

Tech, education, and care –technology that strengthens the knowledge mission and makes welfare more accessible and sustainable.

Digital neighborhood watch –cooperation between authorities, companies, and Nordic neighbors to strengthen digital security and preparedness.
