IT&Telecom companies seek industrial policy expert

Do you have a keen interest in the IT and telecom industry? Do you think that skills supply issues are so important that you would like to influence this issue and become the expert and spokesperson on these issues?

If so, you may be the person we are looking for for the role of Industrial Policy Expert.

As an expert, you will inspire and guide politicians, civil servants and business leaders by being well-read in your field, and eventually become a sought-after spokesperson for your issues.

Together with the other employees at the IT&Telecom Companies' office, you will help to achieve the industry's goals and you will be a support for the member companies in their common issues. In practice, this involves, for example, building and nurturing networks among politicians and authorities, working together and engaging our member companies, monitoring and pursuing important industrial policy issues, following investigations and political decisions, being a spokesperson, creating events, producing reports, running projects, preparing consultation responses and positions.

Responsibilities and main tasks

  • Drive, monitor and influence developments in the sector's priority issues with a particular focus on skills supply and the attractiveness of the sector
  • Outreach work, including acting as a spokesperson and representing the industry in various contexts (events, media, etc.)
  • Building and maintaining networks
  • Liaise with member companies, politicians and other key people
  • Creating engagement and collaboration
  • Drive and deliver results across projects and initiatives
  • Respond to Replies to public consultations and write reports
  • Learn about different areas to be able to produce material for debate and opinion
  • Initiate, create and participate in different types of events

To be successful in this role, you will have previous experience working in the IT and telecom industry. You have a strong commitment to digitalization and entrepreneurship issues and an interest in technological developments. You have a good knowledge of the organization of society and government structures and have experience in advocacy work. You have experience of giving presentations, driving projects and processes forward, writing reports and opinion pieces, and producing opinion-forming material. You are a good writer and speaker, with a good command of Swedish and English.
