On June 1 interviewed Crister Fritzson, Net Insight in our Hello CEO series.
Net Insight works with major events all over the world, from the UEFA Champions League, Vasaloppet, Swedish Hockey League, SHL European to the Broadcasting Union, which is responsible for the Eurovision Song Contest. During the pandemic, the demand to watch streamed live events increased dramatically, which gave good confidence in the future in the midst of all uncertainty.

On June 2, Christina Ramm Ericson, Head of Industrial Policy, and Ellinor Bjennbacke, Head of Opinion and Development, will participate in the Vitecherupp podcast. It will be a deep dive into the report Tech as Sweden's new basic industry. A report that shows with figures how the tech industry has grown and now forms an important basis for the Swedish economy and competitiveness.

On June 2, the debate article "Call to strengthen Sweden's digital skills and competitiveness" is published .

On June 7, Catharina Borgenstierna, CEO of Camanio Care, is interviewed about the report Tech - Sweden's new basic industry.

- Creating change and digitizing the public sector requires courageous leadership that dares to implement. We need that in Sweden," says Catharina.

On June 8, Frida Faxborn, industrial policy expert, commented on the proposed changes presented by KEMI and the Swedish Tax Agency in their final report evaluating the chemicals tax. The proposed changes to the chemicals tax are welcome - unless the law is withdrawn completely.

On 9 June, the Minister for Enterprise and Industry, Ibrahim Baylan, invited TechSverige and representatives of some thirty organizations to discuss the EU's updated industrial strategy. The meeting with the minister highlighted the need to deepen the single market and avoid over-implementation, as well as to reduce the regulatory burden and to see the service sector as an engine for growth.

On June 9, Kenneth Fredriksen, Huawei is interviewed in our series Hello CEO.
- It has been an extraordinary and challenging year in many ways. We faced the pandemic early on with our headquarters located in China. From a European perspective, we were probably better prepared than many others and took action early, for example by mobilizing for an extremely difficult logistics situation. However, from an industry perspective, it was positive to see what the industry contributed to maintaining essential societal functions.

On June 15, Johan Ripe, Visolit is interviewed in our series Hello CEO.
- The pandemic has escalated the strategic importance of IT. IT was important before but has become even more important for the future development of the business, regardless of whether it is a commercial company or a public organization, says Johan in the interview.

On June 17, Anna Herting of Womentor host company Agero is interviewed about the conditions in the tech industry and how she got there.

- Showing children early on the role models that exist is of course a good idea. I'm not sure that all role models for girls need to be women, but a role model should be cool, but at the same time someone you think "if he/she can do it, so can I", says Anna.

On June 21, Mats Blomdahl, Bmore IT is interviewed in our series Hello CEO.
- I think most companies experienced great uncertainty when the pandemic was a fact - Bmore was no exception where we initially implemented a short period of layoffs. Soon we realized that all our customers needed more IT products than we imagined and we needed to get all staff back to work, says Mats about the first time during the pandemic.

On June 22, TechSweden's contribution to the negotiations on the European Commission's proposal for a new law on digital services, the so-called Digital Services Act, DSA, will be published. The publication emphasizes the importance of ensuring that even the final legislation - after negotiations and compromises - meets basic principles such as proportionality and regulatory clarity.

On June 24, Lars Lundberg, industry policy expert, comments on our reply to public consultation on the European Commission's proposal for a regulation on harmonized rules for artificial intelligence (2021/01304). The commentary states that the regulatory proposal does not meet the requirements and that it will give industry, academia and the public sector large additional costs and, in addition, it contains many ambiguities and shortcomings that risk having a negative impact on Swedish and European innovation capacity and competitiveness.

On June 29, the first meeting of the Strategic Council took place . Among other things, it discussed the road to the 2022 elections.

- We discussed current issues for the association and which should be prioritized for the 2022 elections," says Council Chair Christina Ramm-Ericson, Head of Industrial Policy at TechSverige.

- We have coped well with the pandemic year. We moved away from strategic decisions to instead look at what we could help customers with here and now, says Jennie.

On June 30, together with Tågföretagen, we will comment on the Swedish Post and Telecom Authority's (PTS) proposal for measures to improve mobile connectivity on trains.
-We again urge the authorities to use the power and experience that exists within the framework of our cooperation. We now look forward to being involved in the continued work," write Lina Lagerroth, Tågföretagen and My Bergdahl, TechSverige.

On 1 July, Ying Cheng, Founder and CEO of Arkus AI and Christian Guttman, Head of AI at TietoEvry commented on the comprehensive proposal for a regulation on harmonized rules for artificial intelligence.

On July 4, the debate article Sweden needs to look up and face the future is published.
- While we wait, others are taking big steps. Sweden is certainly a digital superpower, but we risk falling behind and being overtaken by countries with more ambitious plans, writes Åsa Zetterberg together with Johan Britz, Director of Industrial Policy, Confederation of Swedish Enterprise and Thomas Erséus, CEO, Almega.

On July 5, My Bergdahl will participate in our Almedalsseminar 5G for Sweden - increased collaboration creates innovation power.

On July 6, Mattias Grafström, CEO of Telekområdgivarna, is interviewed. Since its inception in October 2006, Telekområdgivarna has contributed to the disappearance of many rogue sellers and operators from the market through active cooperation with network-owning operators, the Swedish Post and Telecom Authority (PTS) and the Swedish Consumer Agency.

On July 7, Lars Lundberg will participate in the seminar Does Sweden's AI policy lead to increased competitiveness? A seminar on how Sweden can strengthen competitiveness while managing the risks of AI in a responsible way.

On 7 July, Frida Faxborn will participate in TietoEvry's webinar on digitalization as a prerequisite for a green transition.

On July 8, the Vitecherupp podcast will be hosted by My Bergdahl, industrial policy expert. The conversation focuses on 5G as an enabler of new innovation that takes digitalization to the next level.

On July 16, Robin Suwe, Blocket is interviewed in our series Hello CEO.

- Many are re-evaluating their ways of working and we have found new ways to collaborate even if we are not in the same place. This will affect how we work, live and socialize in the future, Robin says when it comes to how the pandemic has affected Blocket.

On July 21, Avinash Limaye, TCS (Tata Consultancy Services) is interviewed in our series Hello CEO. TCS is part of India's largest industrial conglomerate Tata Group and has 470,000 consultants in 46 countries. TCS was established in the Nordic region in 1991 and today has 15,000 employees working for clients in Sweden, Finland, Norway and Denmark.

On August 13th we publish an article about our collaboration with the Changers Hub innovation center and their Changers Tech programming training.

On August 17, the work to develop a digital guide on how responsible roles at tech companies should act in gender-critical situations will be presented.

On August 24, Mimmi Holm, Sales Manager at Blocket, will be interviewed about opportunities and challenges in the industry. Blocket is one of this year's host companies for Womentor.

On 31 August, Patrik Sundström, Head of Digitalization at SKR, the Swedish Association of Local Authorities and Regions, and Eric Teder, Head of Sweden for Doktor.se, will participate in the Vitecherupp podcast. The theme is healthtech; a sub-industry within tech that has grown in line with high-tech development together with the need for better and more efficient care. It is a sub-industry that is interesting and important from many aspects and has played a significant role during the corona crisis.
